These general conditions regulate the contracting of Girona Lockers lockers through the website www.gironalockers.com i/o booking.gironalockers.com as well as their use. Likewise, these conditions regulate the contractual relationship between Girona Lockers and the user who contracts the Girona Lockers left-luggage service.
By leaving your luggage at the Girona Lockers facilities, you accept their terms and conditions of service.
Service description
Girona Lockers offers its users the possibility of renting their lockers for days (from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Begur and from 7 a.m. to 10.30p.m.). The maximum time for renting the lockers is 365 calendar days.
The useful dimensions of the lockers are: S/L/XL
The maximum weight allowed per locker is 40 KG.
Through the web page www.gironalockers.com i/o booking.gironalockers.com the user will be able to know the availability of lockers for the desired dates and make their reservation online.
Within the limits established in this document (see, Section: User Obligations. Limits on the use of lockers), a user may introduce as many bags as they want inside the rented locker(s).
The locker rental service will be accessible during business hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Begur and from 7 a.m. to 10.30p.m.
The user will be able to access their locker(s) as many times as they want for the duration of their rental period or until the final removal of their luggage. The price per locker will be the one indicated on the website at the time of contracting. The prices that appear on the website include VAT. The lockers offered through Girona Lockers are fully automatic. The user can make a reservation through our website www.gironalockers.com i/o booking.gironalockers.com, specifying, in addition to their personal data, the number of lockers they wish to rent, as well as their size and the reservation period.

Access and reservation
In order to contract the rental of the Girona Lockers lockers, the following requirements are essential:
- Have turned or be older than 16 years.
- Fill in exactly and truthfully the fields indicated in the form that appears in the RESERVATIONS section of the website (in particular: name and surname, telephone number, email, reservation start date, number of rental days, number of lockers to be rented, indicating the size and the data necessary to complete the payment, according to the payment method chosen).
- Accept these general conditions of contracting the service and use of the lockers.
- Accept the privacy policy of Girona Lockers.
Al completar el proceso de contratación, el usuario recibirá por correo electrónico la confirmación de su reserva. En dicha confirmación se le indicará al usuario el número/s de taquilla/s asignada/s, el o los días reservado/s, así como el o los códigos de acceso a la/s taquilla/s. El correo electrónico y / o recibo de reserva que Girona Lockers envía con la reserva constituye la reserva.
El usuario podrá modificar o cancelar su reserva siempre y cuando dicha modificación o cancelación se realice como mínimo 48 horas antes de la fecha en que comienza el servicio reservado y con una penalización económica de 2€. La forma de cancelar o modificación son los pasos marcados en la web.
Upon completion of the contracting process, the user will receive confirmation of their reservation by email. In said confirmation, the user will be informed of the locker number(s) assigned, the day(s) reserved, as well as the access code(s) to the locker(s). The email and/or reservation receipt that Girona Lockers sends with the reservation constitutes the reservation.
The user may modify or cancel their reservation as long as said modification or cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the date on which the reserved service begins and with a financial penalty of €2. The way to cancel or modify are the steps marked on the web.
The locker rental contract may be formalized in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, with identical legal effects.
The client will have technical means at his disposal to identify and correct errors in the introduction of personal data.
Girona Lockers will file the electronic document in which the contract is formalized and it will not be accessible.
User obligations. Limits on the use of lockers
The user, when contracting the Girona Lockers locker rental services, undertakes, in particular and without limitation:
To use the locker(s) reserved for the sole purpose of depositing your property, which you need to store temporarily.
To ensure that, at the end of the service, no personal belongings of the user have been left in the Girona Lockers left-luggage office, to leave the lockers in the same state in which they were found, and to notify Girona Lockers via info@ gironalockers.com any incident that the user detects during the use of the lockers or in their state.
To prepare the contents of your baggage and pack it safely to be protected against the ordinary risks of using the lockers by the user.
To leave your baggage closed (codes, locks, etc.) and identified (a label with the user's name and contact telephone number).
To not cause damage to any other baggage stored with us due to the contents of your baggage.
To diligently use the lockers and to ensure that the lockers have been properly closed when the user leaves the premises (after depositing or removing their luggage).
To verify the size and weight of your luggage before making a reservation on the site. No claim or reimbursement request will be accepted in case the luggage exceeds the dimensions of our lockers and/or 40 Kg in weight.
To not overload the lockers to ensure that the luggage fits comfortably within the defined dimensions of the chosen locker(s), so that the locker door closes easily and without any force.
To not use the lockers for illegal or unauthorized purposes. In particular, the user undertakes not to store objects whose possession or trafficking is illegal (such as: stolen objects, drugs, pornographic material or, in any way, degrading to human beings, etc.).
To not deposit any property whose possession requires a license without said license or authorization (such as, for example, firearms).
To not deposit animals or any type of living being in the lockers.
To not deposit food/food in the lockers, except in the case of packaged food/food that cannot spill, stain the lockers, or produce odors of any kind in the Girona Lockers premises.
To not provide your security code to any third party, being fully responsible for the breach of this obligation and its consequences.
To not use the lockers to deposit goods that a third party must collect. Lockers should not be used as a means of moving goods between parties. This use is not authorized by Girona Lockers.
To access the premises and remain there only for the purpose of accessing the rented locker(s) and only to carry out some specific action in relation to the packages deposited. The user must not remain in the premises longer than strictly necessary.
To not eat, drink or smoke inside the premises.
To withdraw the packages deposited in the rented locker(s), before the moment your rental ends.
To not include in the lockers money, jewelry, technological items (tablets, computers, televisions, etc.) or goods of special value, being the user's sole and exclusive responsibility the decision of the user to use the rented locker(s). to store this type of goods of special value.
To not leave any identity document or other documents necessary to travel in the locker(s). The user acknowledges having taken all the necessary precautions and measures to ensure that they have not left any document required to travel in the locker(s). Failing that, Girona Lockers will not be liable in any case for negligence on the part of the user.
Consequences and responsibility of the user in case of breach of its obligations
The user will have to compensate Girona Lockers for the damages derived from the breach of the obligations related to this contract. If the user does not empty the contracted locker(s) on or before the expiration date of the contract, Girona Lockers will be authorized to access the locker(s) to remove the stored luggage, in order to release the locker(s) and allow them to be used by other users of Girona Lockers. In these circumstances, Girona Lockers will temporarily store the luggage and will try to contact the user who has not complied with the term of the contracted rental period to manage the return of the luggage to its owner (whose cost will be borne by the user 100%). After seven days without having been able to contact the user or without the user having contacted Girona Lockers or collected the luggage, it will be understood for all purposes that the objects have been abandoned by the user. Under these circumstances, Girona Lockers will stop keeping the abandoned objects, eliminating them in the manner it deems appropriate or convenient, depending on the type of abandoned objects. An amount equivalent to the price of the unpaid locker/s will be charged for each day that passes, from the expiration of the rental without the user having removed the locker/s, until the luggage is delivered or collected by the Username. A penalty of €50 will also be charged, which must be paid by the user to Girona Lockers, regardless of the right of Girona Lockers to claim the damages suffered. Unless the user personally collects the luggage, Girona Lockers will manage the shipment of the same after payment by the user of the €50 penalty and the delivery service to Girona Lockers. It will be understood that the delivery of the luggage has taken place from the moment that Girona Lockers transfers the luggage to the carrier. Girona Lockers will not assume any responsibility for the transport of luggage. The return will be made once Girona Lockers has received from the user the payment for the charges caused by the delivery of the goods. that will depend on the weight of the luggage, the shipping destination, the carrier, etc. If seven calendar days have elapsed since Girona Lockers notifies the user in writing of the amount to be paid and the user has not made this payment, it will be understood that the luggage has been abandoned by the user for all purposes and Girona Lockers will proceed in the terms specified above for the abandoned property.
Rates and payment terms
For the automatic lockers service, the user will be charged with their credit card or payment system used at the time of making the online reservation. The user waives all his rights to contest the invoices issued by Girona Lockers if he does not contest said invoices in writing within seven days from the date of the invoices. The applicable rates for the storage service are available on the website www.gironalockers.com i/o booking.gironalockers.com. The user agrees to pay Girona Lockers the agreed amount within the established terms and that is governed by these conditions. Such amounts must be paid in the currency shown on the invoice or, otherwise, in the local currency, but must be calculated according to the exchange rate provided by Girona Lockers. Late payments may result in the application of interest by default in accordance with Legislative Decree no. 231/02 and later modifications.
Right of inspection
The user acknowledges and accepts that Girona Lockers and/or any government authority have the right to open the lockers to inspect luggage at any time for security reasons. Girona Lockers reserves the right to eliminate any object that does not comply with the rules of use of the lockers and that is a prohibited object. In these circumstances, Girona Lockers will be authorized to call and inform the police, as well as to remove the prohibited objects. The user will be responsible for the objects introduced in the lockers. In any case, the elimination of the prohibited items will entail a penalty of €100, this penalty will not exclude the non-compliant user from the obligation to compensate Girona Lockers for the damages caused.
Damage caused to the lockers by the user
El usuario será responsable por cualquier daño o deterioro que pueda ocasionar a las taquillas por su uso indebido. En estas circunstancias, el usuario deberá compensar a Girona Lockers por el daño físico ocasionado a las taquillas y por la pérdida de ganancias. En particular y sin limitación, el usuario que cause el daño debe pagar a Girona Lockers una multa por alquiler diario por cada día que la/s taquilla/s no se pueda/n utilizar, así como el coste de reparación o reemplazo, que se cuantifica en el caso de reemplazo en 1500 € independientemente de los daños causados.
Payment of fines
The user will be responsible for any damage or deterioration that may be caused to the lockers due to improper use. In these circumstances, the user must compensate Girona Lockers for the physical damage caused to the lockers and for the loss of profits. In particular and without limitation, the user who causes the damage must pay Girona Lockers a fine for daily rental for each day that the locker(s) cannot be used, as well as the cost of repair.
Obligations of Girona Lockers
Girona Lockers undertakes to keep the locker service active and to make available to the user, during the time contracted, the locker(s) that the user has contracted in good condition.
Likewise, Girona Lockers undertakes to resolve any incident that may arise in the use of the lockers as soon as possible.
Girona Lockers Limit of Liability
Girona Lockers offers a space rental service in lockers, not being responsible for the custody of the packages. The user is solely responsible for the goods included in the rented locker(s).
The responsibility of Girona Lockers for the risks of loss or damage to your luggage during the period of storage in its facilities and specifically attributable to the exclusive responsibility of Girona Lockers or its employees, will be governed by article no. 1768 and no. 1770 of the Civil Code. Girona Lockers will not be responsible in any way in relation to duly verified damages, which can be considered as a direct and foreseeable or indirect consequence of the delay and / or lack of collection.
